An exclusive 4–day program for International Companies during China Utility Week 2019


The Global Program offers a fantastic opportunity for international companies to find out more about China being at the forefront of the current global energy transition. China’s choices will play a huge role in determining global trends, and could spark a faster clean energy transition. The scale of China’s clean energy deployment, technology exports and outward investment makes it a key determinant of momentum behind the low-carbon transition.

Over 4 days the program will give international companies not only a great insight into the technological advancements but also the unbelievable scale and speed these new technologies are being rolled out in China. The lessons learned from this program will help companies with their own strategy regarding the transition towards a more decentralized, digital and decarbonized energy future.

Furthermore, it will give international companies the opportunity to forge long-term relationships and share knowledge and experiences with other companies from around the world.

The Global Program comprises:

Day 1 and Day 2: Monday, 15 April – Tuesday, 16 April
Attending CUW19 including:

  • Full access to 2 day conference
  • Full access to 2 day exhibition
  • Full access to all networking events
  • Tour of the exhibition and introduction to local/ international companies
  • 1-2-1 Meetings (optional)

Day 3 and 4: Wednesday, 17 April – Thursday, 18 April.

Site 1: Shanghai Electric Group Co. Ltd
Shanghai Electric is a state-owned enterprise. Its label is power company, utility company and power equipment manufacturing company. Site 2: World-class Underground Substation

Jing'an underground substation is located in the center of Shanghai. It is the most advanced underground 500KV substation in the world, extending to four underground levels. The substation improves the power grid structure of the central city of Shanghai, while reducing the decompression link and transmission distance, which is definitely a demonstration of energy saving. Shanghai Electric Power Trading Center is the mainstay of the power market operation in Shanghai. It was established by Shanghai Electric Power Company in August, 2006. Site 5:  Venture Valley: Energy transition Start-ups.

Tongji University is the top university in China. Tongji Venture Valley, located in the campus, is committed to building the last mile project from the university campus to the science park. It aims to “tells entrepreneurial stories, shares entrepreneurial experiences, talks about entrepreneurial sentiments, and brings together entrepreneurial strength” for students and university alumni.
